Based in Sydney, Lifestart is a parent co-operative providing a family-centred approach to the needs of children with disabilities and their families. It is based on the concept of partnerships between parents and professionals.

On Thursday 3 December 2009, Lifestart are holding our very own Twilight Markets at the Lifestart Inner West Branch on the grounds of Ardill House, 132 Davidson Avenue, North Strathfield.
Open from 6.00pm to 9.00pm, you will have the opportunity to buy unique design brands such as Tupperware, Madi&Me kids clothing, Miss Lilly Jewellery ,Designs by Natalia, Gifts Created, Please Eliose, Craft Schmaft, The Learning Ladder, Nutrimetrics, Classic Emily gifts, Funding Wine Services and loads more independent designers!
Great Christmas gift ideas, with delicious gelato, cupcakes, sausage sizzle and drinks available on the night. There will be something there for everyone. So experience Christmas shopping at our Twilight Markets. And at the same time support our Lifestart Early Intervention Program and School Age Services. Entry to the markets is a gold coin donation.

Name change for government funding body
Lifestart’s major government funding body has been the NSW Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care (DADHC). On 1 July 2009 a departmental restucture in state government established the Department of Human Services as a division of Government Service, which removed all branches from DADHC and adding them to this newly created department. The full name of the new agency is ‘Ageing, Disability and Home Care, Department of Human Services NSW’ (ADHC). This new name change will not affect Lifestart’s current relationship with ADHC.
