An event for all Sydneysiders… Kayak for Kids is Sydney’s own one-of-a-kind paddling event that attracts competitors and spectators from all over the state to benefit children with a disability or delay. Set to take place on Sunday 25 March 2012, competitors will face the challenge of paddling in a variety of paddle craft in an exciting 17.5km race from Blues Point to Clontarf kicking off from 8am.

Get in the race… The race has been running for the past four years and 2012 will again expose participants to what kayak racing is all about with the inspiring backdrop of the Harbour. Serious kayakers are welcome to participate in this exhilarating time trial as it hugs the northern shores in solo or double craft. And, for the novice kayaker, the course can be run across four stages of approximately 4.5km for competitors to form relay teams of 3 to 12 people.

Join in the Corporate Challenge Cup… The race in 2012 will see paddlers extend their paddling accomplishments while promoting a friendly rivalry against competitors in the quest to win the Corporate Challenge Cup, an extra category for businesses that are entering teams to compete against one another in the paddle. To win the Corporate Challenge Cup, teams compete in both the time they take to complete the course and the amount of fundraising income they raise.

And after the paddle, please stick around for presentations and then the annual Lifestart family picnic at Clontarf Reserve with lots of food, fun and entertainment for the whole family.

Help raise funds for Lifestart… Kayak for Kids is Lifestart’s major annual fundraising event and paddlers are asked to raise as much as they can in support of LIfestart by creating their own fundraising page at www.everydayhero.com.au/event/kayakforkids2012. Kayak for Kids is the perfect vehicle for family, friends and workmates to admire the beauty of Sydney Harbour and participate in a team building event with a difference while supporting children with a disability in our community.

WHAT: Come along and support Lifestart by shopping at some fabulous outdoor market stalls.

WHEN: Thursday 24 November 2011 from 6 - 9pm.

WHERE: Within the grounds of historic Ardill House at 132 Davidson Ave, North Strathfield.

WHY: To raise funds for Lifestart by a gold coin donation upon entry.

WHO: Everyone in the community is invited to come along or setup their own stall.

FOR STALL HOLDERS: Setup from 5.15pm with trading from 6 - 9pm. All stall holders are required to supply their own tables or display racks. The fees are just $40 for stall holders with their own public liability insurance or $45 for stall holders without insurance.

Eligible products for this event include gifts, jewellery, handbags, fashion, shoes, accessories, arts and crafts, DVD’s and CD’s, home wares, cakes and jams, room decor and much more. For this event all stalls are required to have items available for customers to purchase and take home with them on the night.
