Lifestart Play for Kids 2011

You are invited to participate in Lifestart Play for Kids where everyone in our community can come together to share in imaginative games to raise critical funds for Lifestart. Play for Kids can take shape as any form of game played by kids and adults alike to support Lifestart’s early childhood intervention and school age services for children with a disability or developmental delay. Play for Kids is an innovative awareness campaign which promotes the value of play for the whole community, and in particular, for children living with disability. By using the concept of play, Lifestart aims to demonstrate the importance of social inclusion for all children with disability to enable them to lead happy and meaningful lives as contributing members of our community.
Events can be generated by businesses, community groups, government organisations, schools, sporting clubs, social groups and individuals. Come up with your own game idea or use an existing game for inspiration to fundraise. Play for Kids will let you go from hopscotch to barefoot bowls, scrabble to bridge, twister to trivia. No matter what the game, this is a terrific way to have fun while raising much needed funds for Lifestart.
Play for Kids games will be held as a major calendar activity from September to December 2011 in which everyone is encouraged to participate. Play is one of the best ways for children to learn and develop and a valuable way of helping children with a disability to strengthen relationships and develop life skills. Most importantly, Lifestart helps families of children with special needs through play based therapy.
Help us raise important funds for Lifestart by playing a game today.
Lifestart Play for Kids is proudly supported by Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
