Volunteers

Lifestart is an early childhood intervention program for children aged 0 – 6 years who have a disability or delay in development. Volunteers are seen by Lifestart management, staff and families as an important asset to the organization. Volunteers can be involved in a variety of ways such as playgroups, small groups, administrative tasks or making visual aids.

Join the Lifestart volunteer training program commencing February 2012

Here are the times, dates and locations for the volunteer training program:

Date: Mondays - 20th and 27th February, 5th and 12th March
Location: Nepean at St.Marys
Time: 10am to 11.30am

Date: Wednesdays - 15th, 22nd and 29th February, 7th March
Location: Hornsby and Eastwood at Pennant Hills
Time: 1pm to 2.30pm

Date: Thursdays - 16th and 23rd February, 1st and 8th March
Location: Northern Beaches at Frenchs Forest
Time: 1pm to 2.30pm

Date: Fridays - 24th February, 2nd, 9th and 16th March
Location: Cumberland Prospect at Baulkham Hills
Time: 1pm to 2.30pm

Volunteers required

Lifestart Volunteers

We are looking for people who:

  • Enjoy working with children
  • Want to develop skills in working with children with special needs, and their families
  • Can spare half a day a week or fortnight

We offer a four-week training program of 2 hours per week, before commencing volunteer work.
