Occupational Therapist

Location:

Epping and Pennant Hills, NSW

Employment:

Full Time

Level of Experience:


  • A degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current professional registration with AHPRA.
  • 2+ years’ experience in Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience working with children and young people with disability.
  • Demonstrated experience working in inclusive environments.
  • Experience in prescribing equipment is highly desirable.
  • Current Working with Children Check number.

The Role:




  • Work in natural environments providing intervention, support and strategies.
  • Deliver flexible and individualised suppots to meet the needs of children and young people and their families, as outlined by their indivdual plan.
  • Support the rights of children and their families.
  • Work Collaboratively with the team to achieve positive long-term outcomes.

Occupational Therapist

ECEI Coordinator

Level of Experience:


  • University qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work or Psychology.
  • Demonstrated experience in working in early childhood intervention.
  • Experience with individualised planning and funding options, and family centred approach.
  • Current Professional Registration or eligibility for registration where appropriate.
  • Current Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain one. 
  • Hold a current Drivers Licence and access to a registered vehicle.

  • Working in a strengths-based approach to empower and strengthen the ability of families/ carers to advocate for and make informed decisions regarding their child's development and needs.
  • Assessing and determining appropriate early intervention supports and services for children 0-6 years of age.
  • Supporting families to access other relevant mainstream and community support services as required to support their needs, and the needs of their child.
  • Assisting in deleloping and building the capacity of local mainstream and community services to increase inclusion for children with developmental delay or disability.

ECEI Aboriginal Coordinator

Location:

Unanderra and Norwa, NSW

Employment:

Full-time | Part-time - Contracted to June 2021

Level of Experience:


  • Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
  • Sound knowledge of Aboriginal/ Torres Strait Islander heritage and culture
  • Tertiary Qualifications in a related early childhood, allied health or social science
  • Experience delivering services and support in disability services, particularly to children, or early childhood intervention
  • Knowledge of NDIS, individualised planning and funding options
  • Hold a current drivers licence and access to a vehicle, to perform the role

  • Working in a strengths-based approach to empower and strengthen the ability of families/ carers to advocate for and make informed decisions regarding their child's development and needs.
  • Assessing and determining appropriate early intervention supports and services for children 0-6 years of age.
