Does your child love music? Do they break out into movement and dance when they hear music? Would you like them to experience live music at the Sydney Opera House?
Kids Sensory Music Playtime is Sydney Opera House’s fun, interactive early childhood music program for kids with disability or developmental concerns.
The popular, live classical music series is performed by members of Sydney Youth Orchestra and is an introduction to live music and orchestral instruments for newborns and toddlers (0-2+) and their families. It is a multi-sensory experience that is accessible to very young audiences with a range of disabilities.
Sydney Opera House has developed an inclusive multi-sensory version of the Kids Music Playtime series in partnership with nationally acclaimed multi-sensory theatre company Sensorium Theatre and Lifestart Disability Services.
Members of Sydney Youth Orchestra will perform and engage with your child at each session. The performance is 35 minutes long. The event is free for all participants and parents receive a coffee/tea voucher to redeem at the café on their way out.
You must register for this free event as numbers are limited at each performance to ensure a wonderful experience for those attending. Lifestart staff attend all performances to assist you and your young ones to participate.
Performances are from 10:30 to 11:05AM and are held in the Northern Foyer of the Joan Sutherland Theatre at the Sydney Opera House.
