Your Future, Empowered.

Working at Lifestart means working for an organisation that has grown from humble beginnings to become one of Australia’s leading disability service providers without compromising the values at its heart.

Lifestart was founded in 1996 by a group of eight families who believed kids with disability deserved better support. Today, we operate out of eight offices throughoutNSW and support over 10,000 children and young people, their families and their carers across Australia. It’s a success we’re proud of because it is a success built on lived experience and a genuine desire to change lives for the better.

At Lifestart, we pride ourselves on our reputation within the disability sector. You’ll be joining a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team where your contributions are valued.

Preparing for your interview helps you put your best foot forward and shows us you’re serious about joining our team. At Lifestart, we want to get to know the real you – your experience, your values, and how you approach your work. Here are some ways you can prepare:

  • Arrive early – Aim to be ready 5–10 minutes before your scheduled interview time, whether it’s online or in person.
  • Research Lifestart and the NDIS – Learn about who we are, what we do, and how your role fits within the broader disability sector.
  • Reflect on your experience – Think about your past roles and achievements, and how they align with the role you’re applying for.
  • Prepare for scenario-based questions – We often ask how you would respond to real-life situations that may come up in the role.
  • Dress appropriately – Wear smart casual or professional attire to help make a confident first impression.

I started with Lifestart as a graduate, and the team were so welcoming and made time to answer all my questions and provide multiple observation opportunities with their clients. I’ve already learned so much from collaborating and providing holistic care to clients that I share with my colleagues from other disciplines.

Nikki–Speech Pathologist

I wanted to shape my career to have more purpose, and at Lifestart I have been able to help a team where the impact on customer’s lives is at the heart of everything they do. I connect with the values our therapists, practitioners and childhood support staff have, and I admire how they really do stay true to those values.

Aaron – Director of Marketing and Customer Experience

Working at Lifestart means working with wonderful children, young people and families. Seeing them thrive is so rewarding. The team is lots of fun and there are always new opportunities to jump into. I’ve been able to use my clinical background to grow my expertise across the organisation and help the community in so many different ways.
