An Occupational Therapist can help your child to:

Have their unique needs met to be more included in school, preschool, work or in the community
Participate in play and leisure activities
Access specialised equipment, including wheelchairs, shower and bath aids, hoists or car seats

Services can be provided at home, at the child’s school or early childhood centre, at one of our Lifestart offices, delivered online, or even in the community (e.g. park or shops).

Do We Provide Services in Your Area?
We provide face-to-face occupational therapy in the Sydney metropolitan area including–Western Sydney, Northern Sydney, Eastern Sydney, Southern Sydney, the Inner West and parts of South Western Sydney.
We can deliver online therapy anywhere in Australia.


What Is the Cost?
Costs vary depending on the service provided. You can use your NDIS funding package (we offer services under the support areas of Improved Daily Living and Improved Relationships) or pay privately.

Maddison
Occupational Therapist
Maddison graduated from University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy in 2021.
She is passionate about helping children and teens thrive in their natural environments - preschool, school and community settings.
Maddison completed training in SCERTS Model, Collaborative & Proactive Solutions Dr Ross Greene, Kelly Mahler Interoception, Sarah Ward Executive Functioning, Pretend Play Karen Stagnitti.
Outside of work she enjoys going to the gym, spending time with friends, family and pets.

Occupational Therapist
Alex graduated from a Master of Occupational Therapy from University of Sydney. His professional interest areas include play skills, self-care, fine motor skills and sensory regulation.
Outside of work Alex enjoys rock climbing, BBQ nights with friends, and cooking.

Alyssa
Discipline Lead Occupational Therapist
Alyssa graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) and Master of Occupational Therapy. She has over 10 years’ experience in paediatric occupational therapy. She has also done further training in DIR/Floortime, sensory processing and regulation, trauma-informed practice, neurodevelopment, coaching, and neuroaffirming practice. Alyssa values open and honest communication and partnering with families and other key stakeholders to ensure best possible outcomes for the family.
Outside of work, she enjoys being with her two kids, spending time at the beach, and moving to good music at pilates and boxing classes. She also enjoys making sourdough, drinking chai, and reading a good book.

Chloe
Occupational Therapist
Chloe graduated from the Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours 1A). Chloe has experience working with children, young people, families, and their wider networks (childcares, preschools, schools, allied or medical health professionals) to support engagement in activities that are meaningful to them. She is passionate about partnering with each person and using their individual strengths and interests to support them to achieve their goals. Her interest in Occupational Therapy was sparked by her younger brother who has Williams Syndrome.
She has done additional training in Occupational Performance Coaching, Foundation Coach Approach, The Cognitive Orientation to Daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP) Approach, Learn to Play and 'Conquering the Wees and Poos'.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and being outdoors whether that’s at the beach or on a hike.

Emma Graduated from Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. She has experience providing family-centred support for children and young people with a disability.
Emma is passionate about supporting and empowering neurodivergent children, young people and their families to thrive in their daily lives and reach their full potential.
She enjoys to collaborate closely with families, educators, and other key stakeholders to ensure each child and young person has the support required to reach their goals.
She has also completed training in Foundation Coach Approach, Key Word Sign, DIR® Floortime, and Trauma Sensitive Practice.
Outside of work you’ll find her spending time with her family and friends, playing with her basset hound puppy, or going to concerts.

She has experience providing supports in natural environments in collaboration with children and young people, their families and communities.

Larisa
Occupational Therapist
Larisa graduated from Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. She has completed training in the Foundation Coach Approach and the Keyworker Approach to provide a holistic, person- and family-centred support and therapy.
She is experienced in providing tailored support to children, young adults and their family across home, school, community and clinic settings, addressing areas such as sensory processing and integration, developing fine and gross motor coordination, enhancing emotional self-regulation, fostering social engagement, and promoting independence in daily activities like self-care, play, and productivity tasks.
She is passionate about working closely with parents and caregivers, helping them build confidence and strategies to support their child and young person's progress at home and in everyday life.

She has over 8 years of experience working with children and young people and their families. She is passionate about working with children to develop their confidence and enable them to participate in activities they find meaningful, and about supporting families to develop their confidence and ability to advocate for their children’s needs.

She is passionate about supporting young people and their family in reaching their full potential through improving their independence and participation in meaningful activities. Chloe uses insight and empathy from personal experience of supporting a family member living with a disability, which enriches her ability to understand clients' challenges on a deeper level.

Daniel

Daniel graduated from University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy (with Honours). He has training in a range of areas including occupational performance coaching, cognitive approach to occupational performance, sensory processing, wheelchair positioning and scripting, and program facilitation.
He has over a decade of experience working with children and young people and their families and strives to provide therapy that is meaningful, purposeful, empowering and that enables children and their families to participate fully in daily life.
