Occupational Therapist required for permanent employment, supporting clients directly in areas across Sydney and remotely Australia-wide.

Work from home, the office and in community settings  –  commence ASAP, or early 2021

 

Role Purpose:

The Occupational Therapist provides intervention, support and strategies to children and young people with disabilities or development delay, and their families/carers. This pivotal role will require you to deliver all programs and activities that form part of Lifestart.  You will work in a collaborative team, participating in the exchange of knowledge and skills among team members to achieve positive outcomes for children, young people and their families.

Our team works flexibly with clients in a tailored model that may involve providing a mixture of supports online, at Lifestart sites and face to face in homes, schools and the community. While face to face supports are delivered in greater Sydney, online supports are available to clients across Australia.

 

Key Selection Criteria:
Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration and/ or membership with your professional body (if applicable)

Essential

  • Demonstrated ability to work with children and young people with disability
  • Demonstrated experience in Person and Family Centred Practices
  • Demonstrated understanding of individualised planning and funding
  • Valid Working with Children Check Clearance
  • Successful pre-employment police check
  • A current driver’s licence and use of own car

Understand relevant compliance legislation, quality standards and Lifestart policies and procedures.

Positively represent Lifestart in all opportunities, role modelling the Code of Conduct and actively supporting the mission, vision and values.
Reporting, Documentation &
Administration:
Carry out reporting, documentation and administration tasks including service records and billing.

Maintain case notes, plans and required documentation on Lifestart’s Client Record Management system.

Comply with organisational requirements for the accurate and timely completion of documentation.
