We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join our Corporate Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurate and timely financial administration across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, banking and reconciliations. You will manage end-to-end Accounts Payable processing, reconcile incoming receipts to Accounts Receivable invoices, follow up variances or unmatched items, and maintain accurate finance records to support strong internal processes and audit readiness. The role will work closely with the Finance Manager and internal stakeholders across the organisation to support accurate financial administration, month-end activities and ongoing process improvement.

Key responsibilities

Accounts Payable

  • Process, code, and obtain approvals for supplier invoices in accordance with delegated authority limits.
  • Prepare and execute payment runs, and manage supplier statements, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Administer employee reimbursements and complete corporate credit card reconciliations.
  • Post Accounts Payable journals and support month-end accrual processes.

Accounts Receivable – Banking & Receipts Reconciliation

  • Match incoming bank receipts to customer invoices (including NDIA and other funding sources), promptly investigating and resolving variances or unidentified payments.
  • Collaborate with Service Delivery and Finance teams to resolve queries and maintain accurate customer ledgers.
  • Support receivables management by identifying overdue or disputed balances and assisting with follow-up actions as required.

Controls, Systems & Support

  • Maintain vendor and customer master data in line with internal control and governance requirements.
  • File and retain supporting documentation to ensure audit readiness.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Certificate IV or Diploma level accounting/bookkeeping
  • At least 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
