Our Strategy
Lifestart’s story began almost 30 years ago with a group of families that wanted more choice and control over the support their children were receiving. We are proud that those early person-centred approaches continue to shape our purpose and values today.
Our services now include individualised therapy and behaviour support as well as group and online programs, partnerships with other organisations and working as a partner in the community with the NDIS to deliver the early childhood approach in Greater Sydney.
The NDIS and the disability sector are in the midst of transformation and reform; so whilst we have a three year vision, we have focused on a one-year plan to remain agile and responsive to future changes.
Our Guiding Principles
Lifestart is driven by guiding principles that shape the decisions we make and define the impact that we want to have. They are expressed in our purpose. Our values guide how we behave with each other and with our clients.

Our Strategic Focus
After considering our purpose, our challenges and opportunities, three strategic focus areas have been identified.
Strategic focus areas are for this three year period. We will focus on Clients and Customers, Team and Capabilities and Sustainability and Growth, whilst always remembering that our clients are at the centre of what we do.
1 – Strengthening and measuring the service accessibility and outcomes for clients and customers and growing the numbers supported whilst retaining a focus on quality.
2 – Investing in our team and capabilities to deliver positive client outcomes and being prepared for future reform and continuous improvement and ensuring our team remains engaged.
3 – Achieving our purpose by ensuring financial sustainability and expanding our impact through targeted growth and diversification opportunities.
