Lifestart supports children and young people with disability or developmental concern, as well as their families, to reach their full potential through tailored therapy and behaviour support.

We partner with parents and families, recognising the importance of their perspective and the intimate understanding they have of their child. Our expert team of allied health professionals assist the family’s journey by prioritising what’s important to them and working together to identify and achieve meaningful goals.

Do you have an NDIS plan? We offer services under the following NDIS support categories

Improved Daily Living Skills

  • Therapy Supports (including Assistive Technology)
  • Early Childhood Supports
  • Online group programs
  • Training for parents/carers

Improved Relationships

How we work with your child

We celebrate the uniqueness of each child and their family, and focus therapy on a child’s individual strengths and interests to help them overcome their daily challenges. We believe that therapy works best when undertaken in a child’s natural environment alongside the people they share that environment with. This is why, as well as the opportunity to use our on-site facilities, we are happy to work with children in their homes, schools and communities.

We support children and young people to achieve their goals and communicate with the people in their life, make friends, thrive in childcare or school, manage their emotions, be more mobile, and work towards living more independently.

What is the cost?

Costs vary depending on the service provided. You can use your NDIS funding package or pay privately (check with your health provider). Fill out the enquiry form and when our Customer Experience Specialist gives you a call back, they will discuss costs and payment options with you.

About Lifestart

Unlike most NDIS providers, we’ve been around long before the NDIS scheme began, and rather than being created to capitalise on government support schemes, we were started by families – for families – who believed the support systems could offer more. Twenty-nine years ago, eight families united and used a small amount of funding to run a program in a single classroom in Turramurra Public School. From these humble beginnings, Lifestart now operates out of eleven locations and supports over 10,000 children and young people, as well as their families, across Australia. It’s a success we’re proud of because it is a success built on lived experience and a genuine desire to change lives for the better.
