Kai recently commenced work experience with Australia’s Insurance Builders based at Taren Point as a way of exposure to post school careers options. Kai is thoroughly enjoying this experience and working with his mentor Larry. His roles include sorting and cleaning up building supplies once builders return from jobs and going to the tip.
Larry reports “Kai is a really good worker. Every task he is given he goes off and completes it 100% without any complaint”. Kai’s mother says that he returns home from work experience on cloud nine. She reports that Kai was so excited to tell his family “there was not a single thing that went wrong”, it was “perfect”.
Thanks to Larry and all the staff at Australia’s Insurance Builders for providing Kai with this fantastic opportunity to see what life could look like after school and a sense of belonging and achievement.
