Communication disability is largely invisible, but it affects 1.2 million Australians. As confident communication helps to maximise educational, health and social outcomes, ensuring that everyone is able to communicate is vital to a healthy community.
COVID has highlighted the challenges faced by Australians with communication disability this year. In the video below, speech pathologists Cassandra, Analise, Tamara and Kay use just a few of the different communication modalities available to say that communication is everyone’s right.
