Today we launched our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) via Zoom to all our staff. The launch coincides with the first day of National Reconciliation Week.

The RAP was launched by the Lifestart Board Chair Kathryn Greiner and our CEO Suzanne Becker. Lex Dadd, a senior Darug man of the Sydney basin welcomed us to country and shared a Dreamtime Story. Judith McKay-Tempest, Lifestart’s Aboriginal Strategy and Practice Manager talked about the Innovate RAP and Lifestart’s vision for reconciliation.

Lifestart’s vision for reconciliation is a just, equitable and reconciled Australia with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians talking, walking and working together to improve the quality of life for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.

The RAP program provides a framework for organisations to advance reconciliation within their spheres of influence. This Innovate RAP provides Lifestart with the key steps to establish its own unique approach to reconciliation. Through implementing an Innovate RAP, Lifestart will strengthen its approach to driving reconciliation through its business activities, services and programs, and develop mutually beneficial relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders.
