Survey for Parents and Carers about Disability Standards in Education

All educators and education providers in Australia are required by law to follow the Disability Standards for Education (2005) to ensure students with disability are supported. You can read or download the full Standards here or read a simplified fact sheet about them here. There are also free online resources available to help parents understand the Standards and support their child’s education here.

The Australian Government is reviewing the Standards to make sure they support all students to access and participate in education and training. Lifestart is submitting a response to the review and we would like to hear from parents and carers about their experiences.

Your answers to the following questions will allow us to include the voices and experiences of our clients in this submission. Lifestart will not reveal the identity of any child or family – we will only include generic examples and de-identified facts.
